Massive Response To Health Survey Calls For Retention Of Bransford

West Worcestershire's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt today revealed that he is receiving a massive response to his constituency-wide health survey, which shows overwhelming support from West Worcestershire residents for the retention of Bransford Ambulance Emergency Control.

Hundreds of responses are now flooding in. Ninety five per cent of those received so far want Bransford EOC to be retained, with 4% not knowing and only 1% agreeing with the Trust's closure plan.

Richard Burt said: "As West Midlands Ambulance Service Trust draws the consultation to a close - I call on them to listen to the voice of local people.

"Worcestershire residents have given a clear thumbs down to the Trust's plans to close Bransford.

"Worcestershire people believe that they will be served better by retaining Bransford and investing in its future. They do not want their Ambulance Emergency Service run from Brierley Hill in the Black Country.

"If the consultation is to mean anything, then the Trust Board must now take heed of people's views or stand accused of running a rubber stamping exercise for their own plan.

Bransford staff campaigner, Liz Kabani said: "This is an amazing response from the public and I thank them for their support.

"After a very clear question they have given an equally clear response. They want Bransford to stay. It is to be hoped the Trust Board heeds the message."
