First Meeting For South Worcestershire Housing Action Group

Campaigners opposed to mass housing development in South Worcestershire are to hold their first meeting in Malvern on Thursday 21st May.

Over thirty volunteers from across the district have been invited to attend by Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate, Richard Burt. The meeting will take place at the United Reformed Church Hall in Malvern Link.

"I was delighted with the response to the initial meeting that Councillor Tom Wells and I organised at Bransford.

"There was a real determination at that meeting to come together and campaign against such unrealistic housing numbers.

"Having formed the South Worcestershire Housing Action Group, we can now get down to the business of campaigning against these proposals and putting in place an alternative housing development strategy that local people could sign up to," said Mr Burt.

"The meeting starts at 7.30pm and anyone who would like to get involved is welcome to attend."
